If I haven’t been stitching…
…what have I been doing? Well, we’ve been decorating ![]()

Believe me, it’s a lot tackier in person
, but it has made giving directions to the house a lot easier… “Yup, turn left into the subdivision. See that jumble of lights in the back? Just drive towards it…” Now, the inside isn’t anywhere near as ready as the outside - the main Christmas tree is still missing ornaments and a tree topper, so I still have a lot of work to do before Christmas.
While I was sitting in front of the computer and finishing up addressing my Christmas cards (eek, I know, I’m late!), I figured I’d offer to send a card to anyone who wants one. Just email me, or leave me a comment and I’ll email you for your address.

I have to tell you - I LOVE people like you that go a little goofy decorating the outside of their houses for Christmas. I don’t know what it is, but one of my favorite things to do during the holidays is drive around looking at lights. And the bigger, cheesier and more insane the display is, the happier it makes me. It’s just something about the enthusiasm people have for their decorations that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Your comment came through to my inbox with a no reply address, and I can’t read the one you have in your side bar there, but would you like to do the ornaments with me? I’m not sure how much time you’ll have with getting married, but it could be a nice gift for yourself.

My goodness, how much time do you spend decorating and un-decorating each year? This is the first time in many years that we have a CHristmas tree

I love your Christmas decorating!! The more the merrier. I too drive around and admire all the lights. Your house would definitely be a stop. Good luck with the rest of the decorating.

Just wanted to say thanks for your patterns for Galaga and Ms. Pacman. I googled for the patterns and found your site. My best friend and I spent all of undergrad playing these two games, me on Galaga and him on Ms. Pacman. This Christmas we decided to make gifts and I plan on cross-stitching him something with Galaga and Ms. Pacman and now I have patterns! Thank you so much.

I think your place looks lovely, so bright and Christmasy. Around here no where near as many people have put up lights this year, I’m really not sure why. I miss being able to drive around and seeing almost all the houses decorated outside. As to cards, I’m trying not to think about how far behind I am on those, I haven’t even started yet.

I like it! Hey, did you mail the RR off to Erin yet?? (Pleeeeze say you did - I am losing my mind with everyone being relatively unhappy in the RR right now!)

I am with Michelle, I really want to know what is going on with my round robin. I sent you a stamped envelope so you could mail our pieces on to Erin. I hate to post this on a public forum but since you aren’t answering emails I feel I have no choice. I don’t mind a bit if you don’t stitch on it, I am still happy to stitch on yours. I realize sometimes life gets in the way and that’s okay but I’d like my piece to be sent on. Thanks, Katrina

Again, I hate to post this on your blog but you’ve left me no choice. Unless you send me a confirmation number I can verify with USPS I am going to post a very public complaint about you keeping my and Michelle’s round robin. I need the number by 6:00 your time today. Your round robin is being sent home to you, it’s only fair that you send ours on to Erin. You are stealing our pieces.

Lauren I am not even in your group but please don’t do this to the other girls who counted on you and trusted that you would do right on the Round Robin. It never occured to any of us that someone would just keep anothers round robin and not send it on. How can you ever do anything with them without thinking of what this has done to hurt the other women who have worked so hard to make yours and everyone’s elses round robin beautiful. Just using the fabric and knowing where it came from would just ruin it. Please send it back to Michelle and Katrina!!! You are losing the best part of all and that is the friendships that you have made by choosing to keep something that doesn’t belong to you. Please reconsider and send them back!

Lauren,
I really hope that you will do the right thing and return these projects to Michelle and Katrina. It’s never too late to make things right.

Dear Lauren, I don’t know you, but I, too, would wish that you would be kind enough to return Michelle and Katrina’s RR Neighborhoods. It’s so true that when you take or keep something that doesn’t belong to you…it can never bring you happiness, Lauren. You’ll always have a sadness in your heart about it..and you’ll feel bad about yourself. For your own sake, as well as theirs, please do the right thing as soon as possible. Hopefully yours, Deb

Hi, my name is Cathryn & I live in N.Y. By any chance do you know of a service where they will finish a project that you’ve started (X-stitch or other)? I remember reading about this in a magazine ages ago but can’t find anything on the ‘net. Thanx for any ‘fo. Peace out.
