Another hospital finish
Yup, another project I finished at the hospital. It’s Secret Needle Night’s Wings of Freedom.

I really enjoyed stitching this. There were so many different types of thread - perle cotton, Kreinik braid, suede, fyreworks, it was amazing!
Gram’s out of the hospital and in the rehab center now. She’s looking much better, and she’s doing therapy twice a day. Just want to reiterate my thanks for the thoughts and prayers from everyone. Gram doesn’t quite understand how the internet works, but she does know that my friends are asking about her
Vonna - thanks for the tip! It sounds very much like what Gram has - even down to the rash! We have an appointment with the hematologist on Friday, so I’ll definitely bring it up with him. It’s just very scary - she’s taken coumadin for ages (ever since she had a series of strokes when I was very young), and she gets a PTINR test every month to check on that, but I guess that test didn’t pick up on this.
As for the house, we have a closing date! September 27th! We’re glad to finally have a date, but a little unhappy that it’s almost a month after what we expected - especially now with the fact we wanted to move Gram from rehab straight into the house. It seems the house might be ready in time, but that we have to wait for an appointment with the closing lawyer. We’ve explained the situation to the manager, so she’s going to see what she can do, but considering how much help she’s been in the past, I doubt anything will change

What good news that your gram is doing so much better. And exciting news too about your closing date…but that’s not much time!

Glad to hear that your grandmother is doing better. Hopefully the house closing will go smoothly and be able to be done on a timeline that works well for you.
