Do you consider yourself a “floss miser?”

I used to stitch with impossibly small bits of DMC… until I realized that it was messing up my tension, and gosh darnit, it’s only 30 cents a skein! Even with expensive silks and such, I’ll stitch as close as I can without too much work, but as soon as the tension changes, time to finish off that thread! The only times I still try to fiddle with little bits are, say, when I’m finishing up a particular motif and I only have one or two stitches left. I save the rest of the thread in my ort jar, and then turn stuff them into clear glass ornaments. I have grand plans for an ort ball Christmas tree in my craft room
