Weekend?

Oh my goodness, this was supposed to be a nice relaxing weekend! What happened, you may ask? Well, at around 6pm on Friday, we got an email from our builder that our pre-drywall meeting was scheduled for Tuesday morning. Now, seeing as we had repeatedly told them that we wanted to have an independent home inspector come in beforehand… well, you can understand why we were upset and stressed. Luckily, the inspector didn’t find anything major wrong with the house, so that’s one less thing to worry about for now.

While I wasn’t stressing out this weekend, I was working on my Neighborhood RR. I’ve finished up the design (a freebie from Drawn Thread), but I wasn’t totally sure what else to put in the square, so I stitched a bit on the border. I’m still not sure what else I want to put in the block, and since the mailing date’s today, it’s just gonna have to go out partially unfinished! Besides being an utter waffle-head (is that a word? it is now ) about the RR, I also read Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince this weekend. Now I’m all set to get the new book when it comes out - though I’ve already made several predictions to Glenn about what I think will happen, we’ll see how many turn out to be true!

Besides all that, we’re leaving Wednesday night to go home again - mainly to go see The Police in Hershey Park on Friday night. They’re one of Glenn’s favorite bands, and we’re planning to spend the day at the park with his younger brother beforehand, so this should be a great day! Things have been a little stressful lately, and I’m really looking forward to a little vacation before it’s time to come back and start worrying about the house more I hope everyone else had a more relaxing weekend than me, and I’ll hopefully post pics tonight!

Oy, there’s no stress like building stress it seems! The little break sounds like it will be very nice!

Hope you’re able to have a fun relaxing time on your break, sounds like you need it. I’m so far behind in my reading. The new HP is going to be out shortly and I still haven’t read the last one. I’m resigning myself to knowing how it ends before I actually read it as don’t think I can read all that I’d need to in order to have them both read before people start talking about the ending.

I hope you had a great time at the concert. How far are you from Hershey? Will you go to CATS??? Thank you so much for your kind words and thoughts during this tough time. They really mean a lot to me.
