That’s my fun day

Sunday, July 16th, 2006

I finished a few more letters on the Linen Heart today. I didn’t, however, do any stitching at all on Skeleton Crew. Instead, I went to see the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie (bottom line: not as good as the first, but still watchable). Trading one pirate activity for the […]

New Project

Saturday, July 15th, 2006

So, I started a new project tonight while rewatching Pirates of the Caribbean. Now, you’d’ve thought I’d work on Skeleton Crew while watching a pirate movie, but the part I’m working on right now is a bit too finicky to do while still paying attention to the movie. So, instead, I started […]

Stash shopping

Saturday, July 15th, 2006

Since I just got my first paycheck from my new job, I decided to give in and do a little stash shopping (like I really need any more!). I signed up for the Fruit Packs automatic shipments from Little House Needleworks and Crescent Colors. I just can’t resist a cute little pattern […]

SBQ: Stitching Habits

Thursday, July 13th, 2006

This week’s SBQ.
Since you started blogging, have you noticed any difference in your stitching habits? Tell us about them.
I’ve definitely been expoed to a lot of different designers and projects that I otherwise wouldn’t have. Plus, I think I’ve become more organized with my projects - I feel more encouraged to […]

Not much stitching

Tuesday, July 11th, 2006

Not much stitching tonight. I started working on the fifth skeleton crew member on Skeleton Crew. I’d like to stitch on this project for a few more nights before starting the July Chartswappers ornie. So far, the project is still holding my interest. The little projects in between seem to […]

Yay for stitching!

Monday, July 10th, 2006

So, after passing my cert test this morning with flying colours (975 out of 1000!), I felt I deserved to spend the night stitching. As a result, I finished up Lizzie*Kate’s Balanced Diet.

I also finished another skeleton on Skeleton Crew. Only one more left!

No stitching :(

Sunday, July 9th, 2006

Well, I postponed my cert test until Monday morning (at 8am… bleech), so I’ve pretty much spent the entire weekend studying (and doing laundry). I’ve only got a little stitching in, and none on Skeleton Crew. I started Lizzie Kate’s Balanced Diet as a travel project, and if I’m able to put […]

SBQ: Oops!

Wednesday, July 5th, 2006

This week’s SBQ:
What is the biggest mishap you have had with your stitching material (i.e. spillages)?
I’m pretty careful around my cross stitch. The worst was a Christmas sampler I stopped working on for a little while and put away. Somehow, it got stains on it around where the hoop had been, though […]

Half the year gone…

Tuesday, July 4th, 2006

Everyone else is posting half-way updates, so I’ll jump on the bandwagon, too. Let’s see… I’ve completed around 36 projects so far for the year, mostly all ornaments and such. My big goal for the year was to reduce some of my UFOs. So far, not much work getting done on […]

Skeleton Crew Update

Monday, July 3rd, 2006

Here’s another update on Skeleton Crew…

Most of this update is of the main mast, of which I finished the pumpkin and crow (isn’t he the cutest thing ever?). I’ve done a bit more on the rightmost sail, and I’m almost finished with the topmost sail of the middle mast. I did another […]
