I’ll cross that stitch when I come to it

Here’s the pictures I promised of yesterday’s finishes. First up, Just Nan’s Flower Girls.

This is one of JN’s new releases, and came with a special Whimzi frame. I really liked stitching this - all of JN’s pieces seem simple but pretty, with very limited backstitching. It was a fun, quick stitch, and I think it turned out rather nice.

Next up…

The Sweetheart Tree’s Holly ‘n Hardaner from the JCS 2005 ornie issue. I don’t much care for how this turned out - first, because I messed up the stitching on the bow (I only did quarter stitches instead of 3/4 stitches), and secondly, because the ecru perle I used for the hardanger doesn’t go very well with the cream linen. Ah well, the hardanger and leaves were fun to stitch anyway
