Designer Rant
Now, I know the name of the designer is “Fancy Work.” And I admit that the design does look quite nice. But! This ornament (seriously, it’s like maybe 3×3) calls for 8 or 9 specialty threads *plus* another 8 or 9 DMC. Seriously, on such a small piece, with such small groups of stitches, are overdyed threads really necessary? I have quite a bit of thread stash - that is, the entire collection of normal DMC threads - but very few specialty threads because very often I do not see the need for them in designs (plus, they’re expensive and require a trip to the LNS).
Anyway, I’m mostly done with the design, and hope to finish it up by tomorrow.
