Woohoo… really late this week!
Have you ever participated in a needlework mystery (i.e., a design that you started before knowing how it will look in the end and by which you receive parts of the design via the internet, magazines, or leaflets at spaced intervals)? If so, why did you decide to do the mystery? What appealed to you about it? Did you enjoy it? If you have not done a mystery, would you ever do one?
Yes, I’ve done Pamela Kellogg’s Christmas Mystery sampler a few years ago. In this case, it was a free design offered on her message board, and I’d never done one before, so I thought it’d be fun. I’ve also been working on Terre de France, though given how behind I am on that, it’s not much of a mystery
I’m thinking of doing Pamela Kellogg’s birds mystery, but I’m not sure quite yet. I like doing the mystery mostly for the stitching-along part - you know, trying to keep up so you’re prepared to stitch the next part.
