Finished special present

I’ve finished Glenn’s Valentine’s Day present (quick, huh?), but don’t want to post it yet in case he checks my blog.

I’ve been doing some thinking about things I’d like to get done this year, as I never really posted any real goals for 2006. I have a few goals for the upcoming months.

First, for the rest of this month, I’d like to get Bent Creek’s January Snapper done, finish “finish” the January ornament, and then finish up the third part of Stitching in the Garden. As for next month - well, the last part will be coming out next Friday, and that will include all the finishing bits. I hope to get that finished up about a week later, and then I’d like to get back to work on The Kiss (haven’t touched that in 2 weeks now!). I’d also like to do something small for Valentine’s Day, and, of course, I’d like to do the January piece from the cross stitch calendar. Come to think of it, the February piece is a heart - maybe I’ll just do that! I’d also like to get a few more blocks on Terre de France finished up. After that? Hmm, I guess I’d like to work on Mai and get her finished off, and then either Amazing Grace or the Mermaid Box. I’d also like to get back to work on the embellished cross stitch picture of Monet’s Japanese bridge. Oh, and then there’s the Rochester sampler I’d like to do. Plus, the over-1-on-36ct sampler I bought from the craft thrift store the other day and started in the car…. Oh my.

I’d really like to finish up a bunch of my bigger projects this year - I had 50 finishes last year, and I’d be happy if I just had half that this year, if only I’d finish up some of my UFOs.
